National Geographic books, magazines and T.V. specials have showcased the award winning underwater images of Lew Trusty. A graduate from U.S.C. film school, Lew has been awarded the Cine Golden Eagle, Gold and Bronze Cindy’s, the Silver Anchor at the Toulon, France Maritime Film Festival, and Silver Medal from Downunder Australia for his spectacular underwater film. His "Baby's Underwater Adventure" DVD was filmed in many exotic locations, including the Carribean Sea, Kelp Beds of North America, the Red Sea, and the Hawaiian Islands. Currently, Lew lives on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, where he is a video production professor at Hawai'i Pacific University. Lew's teaching skills and assistance has enabled his students to win numerous awards on videos they have produced at Hawa'i Pacific University. Additionally, he gave his multimedia students the chance to travel to Africa with him in the summer of 2009, where he and the students spent about a month filiming footage for an AIDS awareness video.
