Hawaii Underwater Reviews

Reviewer: Mark Doyle, MidWeek Magazine, February 24, 1999, page 34 If you have never been scuba diving, or even if you have, get ready for a fascinating adventure as you dive under the ocean9s surface and swim through Hawaii9s unique and I bountiful marine life in Hawaii Underwater.. .. This 30 minute journey takes you in and around coral heads that look like they are from another world.

Reviewer: Teresa Tico, President, Save Our Seas Ocean Film Festival, June 12, 1999 We viewed it tonight and loved it!..J liked the way it moved along-not those long, drawn scenes we see in so many documentaries. Really fast, action packed visuals. Very educational, I learned a lot! DOT (Department of Transportation) should purchase hundreds of copies of this video so every school child in Hawaii can see it.

Reviewer: Melisa Tanji, The Honolulu Advertiser, March 14, 1999, page A31 Hawaii Underwater delivers a message on environment..the video is filled with colorful fish and up-close views of eels, rays and sharks .. Jt ends with a cast of characters - 60 underwater creatures identified by name and accompanying pictures, put together with the help of Waikiki Aquarium.

Reviewer: Eloise Aguiar, The Hawaii Kai Sun Press, March 5, 1999, page 1 & 15 The video, which took a year to make, captures many underwater inhabitants that are found only in the islands. The video draws its footage from nearly 200 different locations throughout the islands.

Baby's Underwater Adventure Reviews

Reviewer: Laurie L. Walsh "I recently purchased Lew Trusty’s “Baby’s Underwater Adventure” for my 1 ½ -year old nephew who was mesmerized by the variety of sea creatures, such as dolphins, whales, sharks, octopi, eels, and manta rays featured in the DVD. The photography of the fish and mammals in their natural habitats is remarkable and the soundtrack perfectly complements the images. We also enjoyed the scenes in which the children interacted with puppets and other artwork. I highly recommend this quality product and would purchase another DVD by Lew Trusty."

Reviewer: Jane Roumasset “We played this DVD for our 20 month old grandson, and he loved it! He was fascinated by the fish and the colors, dancing along to the music. After our visit to the aquarium, we played it again, and he was delighted to point out: 'fish, fish!'”

Reviewer: Carey Deer: mother "Your kids will want to watch over and over and over. This video is soothing, engaging & educational. A must for preschoolers."

Reviewer: Louis Paresa "Baby’s Underwater Adventure is a great piece of work. I played it for my grandchildren (4 and 2 years old) and it held their attention. They asked questions and we responded with answers we knew were correct. The photography was academy award material as far as I'm concerned. Although this was geared for the younger generation, I must confess us geriatric folks enjoyed it immensely also. I never saw an eel eat such a large fish before. During my diving days I've seen eels eat smaller fish but that sequence where the puhi ate the kala was amazing. Great job. Obviously your talent lies in your chosen field and I hope you can continue in your future endeavors. Thanks for sharing. It was entertaining and informative. Great piece of work."

Reviewer: Danielle Picariello "I got this video for my 5-year old niece and 2-year old nephew, and they LOVED it! I have never seen these two kids stop what they were doing, sit-down and watch anything for more then 5 minutes, but with this video they did. The music is very calming, and the underwater scenery is just beautiful. The kids loved all the fish, especially the clown fish because it reminded them of Nemo. And now my niece wants to know everything there is to know about every fish. I think this would even be a great video to put on right before naptime. I would highly recommend it as a fun addition to the traditional cartoon videos available for kids. Well done!!"

Reviewer: Sherri Weber "My duaghter loves to watch this DVD. The colors and scenes are amazing. My husband and I both SCUBA dive and this has been a great way to share our passion with our daughter."
